Mission:
EHP’s mission is to provide compassionate, dignified and practical assistance to families and individuals experiencing economic and personal hardship. We offer material help, support services, and advocacy for our neighbors in need, in a challenging and rapidly changing environment.
EHP serves working families, seniors, people with limited incomes and those who have both emergency and on-going needs in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and surrounding communities.
Ward Connection:
Greg Greer: When I lived in EPA several years ago I was looking for non-profit organizations in the area that could use volunteers. I drove by the Ecumenical Hunger Program one afternoon and asked how I could help. They needed help canning, organizing and preparing food items for pickup. I was able to volunteer a few times for a couple hours and really enjoyed meeting other volunteers and seeing how appreciative the people were when picking up the food items. It has been several years so I'm not sure of the current schedule but I think they could always use more help, even if it's only a few hours.
