Mission:
At Second Harvest, we believe hunger is unacceptable. We provide food to an average of 500,000 kids, families and seniors every month at drive-thru and walk-up sites across Santa Clara and San Mateo counties through our programs and an expansive network of over 300 nonprofit partners.

Ward Connection:
Anthony Juliana: I think that Second Harvest is one of the largest food banks in the Bay Area with half a million families served each month. I got to know Second Harvest through our annual fall fundraiser at work And some of us are able to volunteer there for a few hours. The time I went, they had us sorting donated food into categories. I believe you can sign up in advance - either for a one-time or recurring volunteer opportunity.
